Hey alison my approach to sa and its solution is more MODEL oriented, i.e the clark and wells model of social anxiety.
i believe that how sa affects someone is a subjective thing, social anxiety is different from person to person. some find school worse than college/ face to face than group, or the other way round.
the most important thing is this, whatever a person finds more or less threatening is a less useful dichotomy because it only tells us that there is a problem but if u look at it from a perspective of solving the problem u will have to trace it(the symptoms) back to the model or any other SUBJECTIVELY satisfying explanation of sa.
i didnt imply that everyone must find college threatening, actually it doesnt matter who is threatened by what, it just tells us that there is sa and we have to now move toward solving it.
these school vs college and such other things are just the SITUATIONAL(its a term of cbt) things so no matter how long the discussion rotates on this orbit but ultimately one has to break the orbit and move to the orbit of solution. and keep moving from orbit to higher orbits until a station of social confidence is reached. hope now u know where i come from.
and whether i have sa or not i leave that to your scientific judgement. I encourage scientific mentality rather than situational one!!
