Hi, You are not alone. For my part, when I started to have this symptoms there was nothing I could do and the less I was in control the worse it was. I even sometime thought I was going to die.
Here is what I did to relieve the symptoms (actuallyt he worst thing that happens to me is feeling dizziness and headaches) but be aware that it was what worked for me.
First I went to a physician and he put me on tranquilisant and anti-epileptic medicine. The tranquilisants were used only for 3 months.
With this three months I intensively took relaxation and breathing classes to teach me how to diminish stress when I feel the symptom will occur. It's was easier with the tranquilisants in place to do that.
Now I'm on antidepressant but beware of the fact that changing them all the time is not an option. Anti-depressant must be taken several months if not years in order to have a full effect and stopping this can of medicine without the help of a doctor could lead to increase your problem.
Finally, know that medicine only will not help.I'm followed byt a therapist and am continuing relaxation. sophrology courses to have to tools to manage the symptoms as soon as the occur.
