Create a work out space in your home, it could be yoga, or sit ups. Or, you could look your fear of public places straight in the face. Walk into a gym, stop and look around you. Just be curious about the people that you see. Fight the feeling of being looked at. You will discover, no one is even looking at you. If they are, that's fine, too. You can smile and tell yourself, "it's human nature for people to look at others. Why am I sweating it." Put on your headphones, get on the treadmill, and just do it. If you practice this, your brain will start to change the way you think about this situation, and you will become more at peace in public places. Before you know it, you will be laughing at yourself, thinking, "this is so easy. I'm okay with it." This has worked for me. P.S. We all inner critics. Just talk back to the critic, and say, "I know, I'm not that good at singing, but damn, I'm good at a lot of other things like....." Hope this helps you.
