There unfortunately isn’t a designated time frame for how long it will take for your ANTs to subside and give in to automatic rational thinking, however it does happen in some areas faster than it does in others. For example, you develop more rational thinking faster about the social situations that only caused you a little anxiety, then you do for areas of your life that cause you a lot of anxiety. The good thing is that if you keep doing the therapy and using your cognitive strategies, you will eventually get to the point where you will have automatic rational thinking (ART) and also be over social anxiety. It does take time and practice, but if you keep going, you will get to that point.
