Hey, Cyan. I really appreciate you sharing your experiences with this. I sometimes feel like I'm the only one on the planet that has this issue. So, it's good to know I can connect with others who have similar hindrances and continue trying to move forward.
I have noticed that the "loosen up" strategy has helped with the tearing up of the eyes. However, it ONLY works if I can COMPLETELY relax my muscles and BREATHE correctly. I noticed that I often tense up and hold my breath in sudden social situations and the watery eyes follows within seconds. Then I focus on my eyes more than the conversation at hand. So, now I'm trying to completely relax during these situations - not easy - but I know it helps once I do get to that point of relaxation.
I'm in my eighth week of the program and haven't stopped. I've had this social anxiety thing for too long and I sincerely think this program will help me completely overcome it. Let's keep working on this until it's gone for good!
