I read many times handout called ”Expetations are killers- Stay away at all cost“ and I do understand it. There are few examples where we expect something but of course, it doesn’t all depend on us.
But, how to deal with situations where it does depend on me?
Example: Every day I go to a bar and really cute girl works there. It is clear we are both attracted to each other but I never said anything besides hallo, my order and good bye. I sometimes comunucate more with her colleagues, like random small talk. Latelly, I have been pushing my self to ask this girl out and it is a bit hard when I didn’t actually had a real conversation with her.
So, I decided, next time I go in, I will at least try to open a conversation.
Today, I went for a coffee and I couldn’t say a word.
I din’t really understand as it shouldn‘t be that hard. And I am almost sure I will get a positive response. Unless I make it very awkward.
So, I am really dissapointed and I can’t really blame circumstances around me.
Simillar things happened to me before.
Any ideas that could extend the mentioned handout or help in any way?
