I want to bring up something that has amazing capabilities for helping people feel happier and more focused, but isn't really stressed enough - body language. Research has proven over and over that adopting the facial expression of a certain emotion makes you feel that emotion: holding a pencil horizontally between your teeth makes you happy (it simulates the facial expression of a smile. try it!), and frowning makes you sad. The same goes for body posture - being erect, with your head up and back, shoulders back, and chest up, makes you feel more confident. By adopting the habit of smiling more throughout the day and being more erect throughout the day, we can make our therapeutic process much faster.
Personally, i've been keeping an eye on my posture for the last several weeks, always trying to sit up straight and walk tall, and I feel a noticeable difference. When my posture is straight, I feel more energetic, more focused, more confident. Try it right now! sit up straight and see how much more focused you feel. Hope I helped here is a nice video that talks about this amazing phenomenon and its scientific basis:
