My take on accepting yourself is not feeling that you are less than any other person because you have SA. I used to feel that way at times especially when I had to deal with a social situation that felt overwhelming. Unless you are really close to someone I'm not sure if sharing it with anyone is a good idea. It's very hard for someone who doesn't have SA to understand.
As part of the therapy you need to accept that you have SA and that it is going to take some work on your part to overcome it. I know it can be done since I lived with it for over 50 years and was able to do it.
